    A Dutch team! For me, even when I signed the contract, it really felt a bit like coming home. Of course I’m really looking forward to the new season and to experiencing lots of new adventures with new people. I’m looking forward to meeting new teammates, making new friends – and of course to racing successfully with them. I would love it if you would continue to accompany me – at the classics as well as at any other race where you meet me and my team.

    The race is not only won by the guy who stands on the podium. The team behind the team is as important as the rider. That’s why I am happy to be with Trek-Segafredo where I found people which are working perfectly together. All full of passion: from the coaches and support team to the mechanics and the chefs of cuisine, soigneurs, as well as the busdrivers.

    Thanks to all the people who are responsible for the nice photographs of me: Roberto and Luca Bettini, Stephen Spurlock, Jeff Kennel, Scott Mitchell, Hennes Roth, Kristof Ramon and Isaak Papadopoulos.
